About the event
We are bringing back the May Day fun for EVERYONE!! The Parlour and Chicken Shed have teamed up yet again. We've put our spin on a May Day basket, or should we say baskets, to help celebrate 50124 Day! That's right, its kind of like celebrating a golden birthday, but 05-01-24 is Huxley's own celebratory day and it just so happens to fall on May Day! So we've put our heads together to provide a little fun for all of you.
Whether your a "do-er" or a "do-it-for-me" kind of person, we've got you covered! Here's what you can expect...
For the "Do-ers"...
Join us at The Parlour on May 1 from 12-6pm for a drop in Make-and -Take May Day basket event! You can come in and choose from each of the following items. We'll have everything you need to make exactly what you want for your "baskets".
- Kid's baskets - You'll get to choose just how to decorate your box/basket. We'll have plenty of ribbon choices, colors to decorate or label your baskets and fill them with all kinds of goodies. These baskets include a glow copter, ball of slime, twisty lollilpop, candy and your basket. You can make 1 for $8, 3 for $21 or 5 for $30. Make one for all the special friends and spread the love on May Day!
- Succulent Mini Baskets - You choose your succulent, add some moss to your mini basket and top it off with a ribbon of your choice! These are $9.99 each and make the perfect little pick me up for your favorite neighbor, friend or special someone!
- May Day Bloom Box - Much like the others, you get to pick your blooming plant, decorate your box with ribbon and all the extras and deliver it with love! You can make 1 for $15, 2 for $25 or 3 for $30!
For the "Do-it-for-mes"...
Pop on in to Chicken Shed on May 1 (open 9:30-5) to grab these pre-made options! We'll have several of each option already put together for you so you can "grab-and-go" instead of "make-and-take". In addition to the May Day Baskets, Chicken Shed will be bringing back the $5 bouquets just for this celebration!
We will be doing these as long as supplies last! We hope to see you one Wednesday, May 1 to celebrate 50124 Day!
